In the footsteps of Old Patras Germanos
Several years ago when people moved by foot or animals from one area to another they had to secure the basic good to survive: water. So all the paths were close to the rivers and to cross from one bank to the other they had to build a bridge: either stone or improvised.
One of the most famous paths of Achaia was the Makellaria road, which connected Kalavryta with Patras. from there tradition says that the German of Old Patras passed by to raise the flag of the Revolution in Patras as well. The work is crafted by the sisters of the Monastery with charcoal and dry pastel. It is mounted in a neutral frame to match the decor of the office or home where it will be placed.
